hi, I’m Jillian,

come take a look behind the lens...

A woman with long, curly hair and earrings, smiling and holding a camera, standing on a rocky beach with large rocks and green vegetation in the background.

I’m a Sydney photographer, and a mum of three… they’re my whole world.

A beach lover and ocean enthusiast.

A music-obsessed foodie, who loves a good laugh, a giant mug of tea and planning where to travel next… much to the delight of my husband.

A young girl with blonde hair and a blue hair bow is lying on the ground next to a dog, both appearing to enjoy outdoor sunlight.

always at the beach

I’m a sentimental soul,

and a firm believer that the ordinary parts of our lives are often the most special.

I’ve always loved photographs.

As a child, I would sit for hours flicking through our family albums. You know the ones… some terrible pattern on the cover, with white ring binders and that sticky peel-back plastic covering grainy sentimental snaps of my life. I was hooked in that moment on photography.

But it wasn’t until I became a mother that I truly understood what photographs can hold.

I became the keeper of our family’s memories.

A woman with long wavy hair, sunglasses, and a white T-shirt with large printed letters that spell "LOVE," standing on a concrete dock near the water with large rocks and mountains in the background on a sunny day.

After moving overseas and living in France for seven years, I found myself far from the people who would otherwise have witnessed our lives. The dress-up phases, the tiny newborn days, the chaos, the ordinary Tuesday afternoons - all the things that felt fleeting and important at the time.

And I photographed them.

Because it goes by. Far too quickly.

Those photographs have become some of my most treasured possessions. They don’t just show me what my children looked like; they take me back to how it felt to be there.

and that is what I want to give you

A woman with her eyes closed hugging a child who is wearing a sleeveless dress. The woman has her hair tied back and is wearing earrings, and the child has curly hair.

I want you to have photographs that make you feel something.

Photos that remind you of who you were, who you loved and what this season of your life actually felt like.

And perhaps most importantly, I want to photograph you.

I have a particular passion for women and mothers because I know how easily we can disappear into caring for everyone else. My ultimate goal is to create images that make women feel seen, beautiful and completely themselves - whether that’s in the midst of motherhood, pregnancy, a new chapter, or simply because it’s time to celebrate the woman you are right now.

There is no judgement here and no perfect way to do family, motherhood or life.

Just come as you are. I’ll take care of the rest.

A woman with curly hair, wearing a black and white pinstripe suit, is smiling and holding a camera to her eye, taking a picture outdoors near large rocks.
A woman with long blonde hair wearing a beige knit beanie and black coat holding a DSLR camera outdoors in front of a wooden building with a sign that says "KNUT S".

Now you know a little more about me…

If you’re looking for a photographer who will make you feel seen, beautiful and find the magic in your real life to create images you’ll absolutely love, I think we might be a very good fit.
